What is the US jobs report?

The Employment Situation report of the US Bureau of Labor Statistics is released once a month at 8:30 am Eastern Time. In UTC that is 12:30 during US daylight saving time and 13:30 in winter.

It combines two surveys. The establishment survey covers employment, hours and earnings of employees on nonfarm payrolls, the base of the payrolls change and average hourly earnings. The household survey covers the labor force, employment and unemployment, the base of the unemployment rate.
